The Firm regularly provides advice and representation on occupational health and safety matters under both the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Canada Labour Code.

The Firm currently acts as the exclusive legal resource for a major Crown Corporation  in respect of related work refusals appeals in proceedings across Canada.  The Firm was retained by a major federal Agency to provide briefings to occupational health and safety managers on criminal liability for safety violations under the then “Bill C-45” amendments to the Criminal Code.

The Firm has acted for private sector employers in Occupational Health and Safety Act prosecutions, and has recently secured a stay of proceedings against both the company and a supervisor in a fatality prosecution.
